Why do people call it the irish potatoe famine?

The truth is the potatoes in ireland did get potatoe blight, but the irish had plenty of other crops, meat and things to drink. It is one of the most productive and fertile places to grow crops and rear animals. The truth is between 1845 and 1850 the british army at gunpoint stole between 40 and 70 ship loads of crops, meat, grain, ale and whisky off the irish. Food for the irish people. Causing them to starve. Consequently the only thing left for them to eat after being robbed was potatoes, which at this time had blight. This time in history should be called the irish genocide. People were alway's going on about hitler but the jewish genocide wasn't called the air famine. How many people know the real truth about this time in history?
