My throat is messed up...please help me?

my right side of my throat is swollen and sore and looks almost bloody.. i only noticed it this morning figuring im prone to strep but this is no strep my throat has never bleed and its larger then usual what could this be..im nervous that its something really serious i dont wanna give it to my daughter either she just turned 2 months... help me please..
