LOST OF SMELL AND TASTE...REALLY SCARED...HELP!!!?

For the past two weeks i have been sick..the 1st week i had a really bad sore throat after a week it went away..as it was going away a cold came..i went to the doctor and she said i had strep throat but my throat wasnt hurting anymore now im taking antibotics still have a cold and cant smell or taste...will i get my senses back when the cold goes away and i finish taking the antibotics???? Has this happened to anyone else?
