Can you get strep, right after getting rid of it?

i just finished my antibiotics last thursday. and now my throat is starting to hurt again, when i swallow...and now when i talk. and that was what happened when i had strep...is it possible that i got it again? could my boyfriend be carrying it, even though he doesn't HAVE it?
